Welcome to the Wallingford Lake House! As you walk through the colorful garden from your private parking space and get to the main floor of the house, you will be welcomed with a beautifully decorated and spacious entryway. The main floor features three cozy bedrooms, one full bathroom and a laundry room with a new washer and dryer. One bedroom has a queen bed and a peekaboo view of Lake Union. The second bedroom has a queen bed, TV, and a private balcony with views of the lake. The third bedroom has a high-end queen-sized sleeper sofa (TV to come soon) where you can relax in private or have a very comfortable sleep.
The second floor will take your breath away with the large windows and panoramic views of the city skyline and the lake from the common space. Relax, socialize or play board games with your loved ones on the comfortable couches and enjoy the heat from the gas fireplace while watching the boats and sea planes soar across the lake. Head into the small entertainment room to unwind in front of the TV with cable and a DVD player. Cook gourmet meals in the newly remodeled kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a prepping island. There is room for everyone in the kitchen and your dreams of a making a Pacific Northwest meal will come true! The dining room also features large windows with breathtaking views of the city and Lake Union that seats up to 8 people so you all can enjoy a tasty meal together. In the morning head out to the little private deck for a cup of coffee or enjoy a nice glass of wine in the evening while looking over to Seattle and all its beauty.
Head upstairs to a private rooftop deck that has sweeping views including the Space Needle! Enjoy soaking in the sunshine or the night lights of the city on this open deck. Next to the rooftop deck is the luxurious master bedroom with the same sweeping views and a full bathroom featuring a Jacuzzi tub, dual vanity and walk in shower. You could not get better views than in this Wallingford Lake House and you will be in awe after staying in the bright and beautiful home!
The location of this home is perfect if you want to be close to the city and still have the views that downtown cannot offer you. The bus only takes 25 minutes to get to downtown Seattle or a quick 15-minute lyft or uber ride share. If you are feeling more active the Burke Gilman trail is only 1 block away and you can find a ride share bike to head anywhere in the city from that trail. Gas Works Park is only a 10 minute walk and the unique neighborhood of Fremont is 20 minutes away. Fremont is the known Center of the Universe and home to the Fremont Troll. Many famous films have been filmed in these two locations and once you see these great sites you will know! One block from the house is Westward, a very nice restaurant right on the water that serves Pacific Northwest style food that is sure to satisfy. Ivar’s Salmon House is about 10 minutes up the street for traditional seafood or if you are feeling more adventurous take a dining tour with Waterway Cruise and Events. University of Washington is a nice easy 30-minute walk away and there is always some activity going on over there. You can go tailgating and watch a football game or head up the hit some balls at the golf range. If you are here in the spring, we suggest that you check out the Cherry Blossom trees that change UW into a magical fairytale land. If you like fantasy and Harry Potter, step into the Suzzallo Library Reading Room and feel like you have transported to Hogwarts. This is a great house and location for families or groups of people that want to be close to the action and still be in a beautiful home like a local!
